Sorry darlings, am bit late on this post. But, my son kept me pretty prettttyy busy, so there. Moving on...

I am amazed how rhythmically the fashion houses belt out their collections. It keeps coming season after season after year after year, and it just doesn't stop. Thank God for that! {Please never-evah stop!}
Now, there are moments of "gasp!" "ooooh" and "swoon" when a mere mortal (aka me), who does not have access to front row at Fashion Weeks, feasts on these fashion collection for the very first time {shout out to here for being so prompt with uploading the insannne pictures}.
And, then there are moments of "WTF", "Are you serious", "Thaaattt garbage bag- in the name of couture", "My eyes, My eyes - oh no fashion has been killed by this monster dress". Ok, so you get where I am headed.
And, last week I shared with you these same exact sentiments. Wasn't it brutal?? Oh my! But remember, it was all done in good, fun spirit!
But, that was easy work. I took certain looks that jolted our my fashion sense and then I commented on them. Easy Peasy!! So, I decided I needed to make this process a bit more productive and value add. Instead of crying tears of horror, I could actually take the liberty of converting the creative garbage garb into gold. Yeah, you know take creative liberties, and just build on the concept that's already been conceived...Fashion houses, no hard feelings!
And, now we roll....

Prive rocks my fancy fashionable feathers

Today, as I was feeding my son, he "pffffft" at me just as I put cereal in his mouth. Out came the spoonful he had just put in his mouth and both his and my shirt were speckled with tasty bits! It would have made me so mad, but instead I started to laugh. His face was so cute when he looked at me; his mouth smeared with leftover, zig-zaged around the edges. And, then I looked down at my shirt! Yeah, it was smeared alright! Which made me wonder, there should be a bib for the feeder, not just the know! Doesn't this make for a great business idea...hello genius me!! If you decide to do something about it, well, you gotta give me some royalty sistah!!

Which brings me to this, not sure how its relevant but, stay with me, will ya? I am obsessed with clean clothes Armani Prive. Remember I had mentioned it here?. I just couldn't resist sharing with you why I love the brand so much. One look at their designs and you are bound to fall for those kick-ass tailored suits, mermaid gowns, architecturally perfect dresses and luxurious prints too. It really is that simple, my lovelies. Now Now, I am not a believer in trends. I do believe in good style and good clothes. So, what if those clothes were for Fall 2009 collection? If they make me look gorgeous, and feel fabulous (very important), then heck yeah! I will wear them. You can sue me, Fall 2011!! Roll in Armani Prive's current and previous collections.

Some of my favorite favorite, drooly-worthy, eye-popping, high inducing looks. I will start with the most current, and kinda' go back.

Night Night lovelies....hope the fashion feathers have been ruffled a bit (mine have already...but, you already knew that). Gotta' get some sleep (and dreams about these looks) so that I have energy to play around with my son. He's making attempts to crawl, and I tell ya' that requires a lottt of energy!

Not a dry eye

I usually don't cry that much, ok, maybe sometimes, like while watching artists perform on America's Got Talent  or contestants swaying beautifully on So You Think You Can Dance.What brings me to tears is not so much the the act, the props, the dance routine, it is the people and the naked display of their intense passion. It is their courage to pursue what they love that drives me insane with emotions. Very few people have the guts to do it, and so its truly magical (and emotional) when I see such a theatrical display.

And then, there are these five things that leaves no scope of dry eyes for me. They drench the pupils in happiness, gratitude, and "oh, I can't take it anymore, someone pass me the tissue box" feeling. Here we go:

Pure, uncensored, unadulteratred love: Love that comes with nothing attached. There is absolutely no expectation to get anything back...just give give give. The love of a mother and child (one look at my son in the morning, and I am reminded how lucky I am...sooo grateful to God for him), of a pet and its owner, and of an individual and his passion/work.

Photos/photography: There's something about the concept of capturing/freezing a moment in one's life with a click of a button. And, nothing in the world can replace that.

see what I mean?
{photos: Morgan Norman}

Acts of Kindness: When I was growing up, I never understood my dad. He would give money away just like that. Yes, even when there were times we did not have enough at home. If he saw a begger on street, he would give him a USD equivalent of $10 without blinking an eye. And, I did not like that he was being frivolous with hard earned money. Years later, he continues to do this, but this time around, I have a verrry different view of things. So, I asked him. how his heart allows him to help someone without thinking or over analyzing the situation. And he replied in few simple words, "For that one look of happiness on the person's face." And these few words are safely hidden in my heart, because when I emulate his habit and see that look on the other person's face, my eyes just can't hold back.

Unabashed creativity: When Alexander McQueen lifted his pen to craft a silhouette, he practiced creativity in its purest form. There was nothing that came between the tip of that pen and the paper. There was nothing that he was ashamed of. So, when I see products that have been crafted with love and intense passion, it just makes me realize how beautiful the process of creation can be, and I can't help but feel utter joy, and um..cry!

Mother Nature: I love being in the mountains and being surrounded by waterfalls. Its just breathtaking, and looking at all the perfection that exists around me, makes me teary eyed because it makes me realize that we humans are nothing compared to the vastness and greatness that exists beyond our control. I mean, how can everything come together so beautifully, and to top it all -- no one had to sit there and make sure everything was working just works on its own. And perfectly at that. Magical...amazing...pure wonder! Pure eye drencher!

What makes you choke with tears?

Love!...and a box of tissue for you as well :)

What lies in your drawer....shouldn't just stay there

There is a scarf, you know the one that lies folded in your drawer of delicate things. The one that never sees the light of the day, but you bought it because you had envisioned to wear it in oh so magical and va-va glamorous ways. But, boopity boo, that never happened.
And then there is the scarf! The one that talks to you. The one that you talk to. It's cheery, colorful and can be molded in various snippets of your life. Ladies and uber fab ladies, I present to you The Scarf, the one that is free from dark claustrophobic confines of a storage box; the one that shines like a precious hidden nugget.
Say hello to The Scarf and its many avatars:

Darlings, as the saying goes: scarf it your way or          . Ooopsie! I can't find anything to go with this. Can you? And oh, do you have any more suggestions to wear a scarf? Share Share or               . Oopsie!
